Gianpiero D’Alessandro is a relevant Italian artist, born in 1993 in Sant’Anastasia, a small town near Naples. He started his artistic career as a teenager, creating caricatures and cartoons in his hometown, before going on to achieve international success as a digital artist and graphic designer. Gianpiero initially opened an Instagram account where he started publishing illustrations of famous American characters unless Snoop Dogg, a famous American rapper from california, contacted him and asked for a collaboration. His efforts during the years allowed him to work as a designer for a large number of people and he has become one of the most paid artists in Italy. He also works as a graphic designer for Justin Bieber.

Artistic style:

Gianpiero’s style is impressively rich in colors and it includes different key characters that symbolize him. He has been influenced by Walt Disney and Andy Warhol and his style is recognisable for its typical cartoon setting that made it unique as it manages to explore our emotions with its stunning blend of colors.

Most important works: 

Collaborations with high-profile celebrities and brands such as Snoop Dogg, Netflix, Nike, Levi’s, Dolce & Gabbana, and Justin Bieber’s Drew House brand, where he has held the role of creative director since 2019.

Founding the NFT project “inBetweeners” with Justin Bieber and Pasquale D’Avino in 2021. This exclusive NFT collection of unique hand-drawn digital objects has generated over $20 million in revenue in just one month. 

Creating digital artworks, often in the form of NFTs, that have earned him nearly $9 million. Some of his individual NFT pieces have sold for over $100,000. 

Designing graphics for Dolce&Gabbana‘s latest fall-winter 2022/23 fashion show, integrating his digital art into the physical fashion world. 

Transitioning from a small-town artist to an internationally renowned digital creator, leveraging the crypto art space to achieve remarkable commercial success while staying true to his creative vision.

Milan Design Week 2024:

“Love Hurts You”: A domestic sculpture designed by Gianpiero D’Alessandro will be featured at Milan Design Week 2024. This piece will be part of the Baranzate Ateliers exhibition, which includes a selection of 35 studios and 15 guest artists chosen by Belgian artist Lionel Jadot and Zaventem Ateliers.

FuoriSalone 2024 at Rinascente:

“Love Hurts You”: This cactus sculpture will also be showcased at Rinascente during FuoriSalone 2024. Additionally, his “Monster melanin tableware series” will be displayed at the same event.
