Amy Sol is an American artist born in 1981 in Korea, who currently resides in Las Vegas, Nevada. She is recognized for her contributions to the Pop Surreal and Lowbrow art movements, often described as “cartoon-tainted abstract surrealism” by Robert Williams. Sol is primarily self-taught, having developed her unique style through experimentation and a deep appreciation for visual imagery from a young age, influenced by her childhood experiences in Korea and her creative family background.

Sol’s artwork typically features young maidens set against dreamlike landscapes populated by whimsical creatures. These characters often interact with animals in a manner that suggests companionship rather than ownership, reflecting a mystical bond between them.
